It looks good. The reactor should be in 3 open 3 mode, so the coral has an adaptation period. After 2 weeks, if the coral is healthy, switch the constant flow of the reactor to the system water volume.

It is recommended to use Zeo brand activated carbon, which may avoid some unnecessary problems

First ZeoVit exchange is usually after the first 4 weeks have passed, replace about 90% of the material, until than keep the 3 hour on / off interval. About 2 weeks later if all corals are doing fine you can switch your reactor to continuous flow. After each ZeoVit exchange dose ZeoBac daily for 10 days.

Hi all the tank has had zeovit going in it for 21 days I’ve noticed my algae has reduced and the water in the tank is much clearer. Just tested for nitrate and they are about 10ppm mark. Is there anything else I should be doing at this point? Thanks in advance.

Hello majestic123, looks great. #17, G. said that.

With malnourished water quality, suitable guide parameters, including potassium, stabilize them.

1. Observing changes in corals with low malnutrition water quality

2. Individual consumption and change of record elements

3. Record the current NP value and how it changes

What is the current phosphate level?
What kind of potassium level value, get the potassium test package

Kh 6.5~7.5
Ca 400~420
Mg 1250~1300
K+~380

When stable low malnutrition water quality, stable with suitable parameters, no other pressure. The appearance of the coral begins to change, the tissue becomes lighter, and the polyps grow. Corals begin to "have growth," so the above mentioned are necessarily related. These reasons are hard to say at what stage, but usually after the first replacement of ZeoVit material.

Record it and observe it. This will be the resource you have
For example, as the time of the tank is stable, you will find that the Mg element is not consumed so quickly, and so on.

Hello Sanj, just continue as planned. If you hit the 4 week mark running ZeoVit replace 90% of the material. Dose ZeoBac after each replacement daily for 10 days, than continue with 2 x weekly until the next exchange. Continue to dose all other products as usual.

About one week later replace the carbon completely.

If all goes and your corals are doing fine you can switch the reactor flow to continuous flow about 2 weeks after the material was replaced.
