Sorry, fish, I have no experience.

1. Is SG too low? Try adjusting to a suitable range
2. Seems to have the same symptom site (gill)
3. parasitic worm

4.You can try to put the dead fish in Ro water to see if there is a worm.

Sorry, part of the fish is not refined.

Really difficult to say from a picture, have they started to bread heavy before that has happen ? Does the whitish areas on their bodies looked like cotton ?
