I don't know the salinity for your choice, 1.024 is no problem, usually 1.023~1.025, fixed 10% water change every week, and the natural consumption of coral elements, I believe there is no problem.

I would first try to find the source for the elevated levels, do you dose those elements separate ? If not might the salt mix you use have elevated levels ?

Which kind of instrument do you use to check salinity and have you used another different one to cross check ?

I dose in the morning and t night, I split them up and never dose more than 2 elements at a time. I will check the salt this morning.
As for my refractometer, I feel if it tests correctly with the solution it should be correct, right? Could the solution be off? I will buy another and see if that changes anything.
Thanks

You may need to look at the technique to see which side is wrong. Usually the sea salt Ca will not be as high as 500, what is the level of fresh mixed salt Mg and Kh?

I don't know if this gap 2 drops affects the discrimination, the new version of Salifert Ca and the old version

We had a similar situation a while back in the German forum. The used reference for salinity had a issue even it seem to be OK. I would recommend to rule this out also.

Ph 8.2
No2 0.05
Nh3 0
No3 0
Dkh 3
Mg 1480
Ca 420
Pot 440
Pho’s .08!!!
I think I just solved my problem. Pho’s way too high, I’m 7 weeks on zeolite change should I change more often? I also feed a lot as I have a fair amount of livestock.
Maybe every other day on Biomate?
Any help would be great thank you.
My corals look great btw :/

Also these reading were taken only a half hour after feeding if that makes any difference

Dkh 3 Maybe this is a typo? I think the zeolite changed for 7 weeks. I didn't see any problems.

Because I have a fair amount of livestock, I also ate a lot. (This does make a difference)

Maybe every other day at Biomate? (sounds good)

Zeolite flow should be maintained at your system's hourly flow rate, rather than more frequent replacements, then you can try to adjust skimmer wet, siphon, change filter socks more frequently, reduce feeding, etc., boost output if you prefer Zeo CS is also a good choice.

What is your current total dose and additive frequency, and coral pictures

Lets first try to do another PO4 test, if the level is the same you can try to replace the material more often, every 6 weeks for some time.

Please also check the flow through your Zeovit reactor if it is to low, adjust your skimmer to skim more wet can clean it daily for some time to export as much as possible. Keep a eye on the K+ level.

Finally dosing 2 drops BioMate / 100 liters ever other day for some time can be helpful also.

Try to remove the hair algae manually with a brush, if they grow back herbivore should eat them as long as they are short.

Reactor was not flowing correctly, only about 120 so I cleaned the pump and screen and adjusted to 160. PO4 is still.08. We spent last night removing most of the algae and I will dose biomate as directed. Replacing 90% of the material today.I will post new levels next week.
Thank you for the guidance

New reactor and dc pump measures in liters....so my 160 gph should be approximately 600 liters per hour?
