Hi Lycan968

First of all I would recommend to download the dosing guide from:

http://www.korallen-zucht.de/files/z..._english-1.pdf

It contains a lot of useful information and will be helpful to get a feeling for the dosage.

First start with the basics products to decrease nutrients:

1. Place 0.25 liter zeovit in a Zeo Reactor. Water flow around 90 - 100 liters per hour. Connect the reactor pump to a clock timer and run the reactor pump with a 3 hour on / 3 hour off / 3 hour on interval. Please make sure the zeolite is not exposed to air while the pump is switched off. Clean the material daily. Leave the zeolite 4 weeks in the filter until you do the first change out. This is the first changing interval, others could be lengthen to 6 – 8 weeks.

2. Place 0.4 liters activated carbon in a filter sock and keep it in a passive water flow in your sump, changed every 30 days. Knead the carbon daily to keep the surface clean. Most users get perfect results with korallenzucht carbon.

3. Dose 1 drop ZeoBac daily for the first 2 weeks, flowed by a 2 – 3 x weekly dosage of 1 drop. Dose 0.1 ml ZeoStart 2 x daily (morning & evening). Dose those in front of the Zeo reactor pump while it is switched on.

Later on you could use the additional products for coral coloration. Adjust your skimmer to skim wet, keeping it clean to export as much as possible. Do a weekly water change of 5 – 10 % with a good salt.

With the system it is not recommended to use a PO4 absorber. I would recommend to remove 1/3 of the absorber if you start with zeovit, than reduce the rest over the next 6 – 8 weeks step by step to zero. If this is done keep a eye on the PO4 level which should not increase.

If you start with the ZeoVit system stop using the other products you use completely, they can be used later again. The Seachem Matrix filtration material can be removed later also but not at once, remove it step by step over a couple of weeks.

Basic water parameters looking good, try to keep them as stabile as possible close the NSW in the following ranges:

KH 6.5 – 7.5
Ca 400 – 420 mg
Mg 1250 – 1300 mg
K+ ~ 380 mg

For a nutrient poor environment K+ (potassium) seems to be a important element. I would recommend you to get a test kit for this element also, posting your results.

This is a start-up dosage which might have to be adjusted later.

G.Alexander

There's still a filter wool. Shall I take it out? Or is it needed?

You are right, 0.1 liter activated carbon would be the right amount for your system volume, sorry for the confusion. If you clean the filter wool daily or every other day you can furthermore use it.

I use Ati Essential Pro to keep the elements KH, CA, MG. It also contains trace elements. Is it a problem to use when Zeovit system?

Not ideal as it might darken the coral tissue the more the nutrient poorer the system is running. I would recommend to use a method without additional trace elements.

It is not really necessary and usually they contain a lot of additional trace elements. You can try to Google for “Balling light” or something like this.

Hello Lykan968, this is my little idea

B-Balance stabilizes water quality parameters, corals have growth, and stable malnutrition environment adds water quality better.

Sponge Power, now, the tank cycle, has positive side effects on biology. Regular doses of 1 drop / 25 US gallons per other day.

Xtra and CV and AA, corals have a malnourished environment when growing

Let's complete the conversion of the system first and replace it with the first ZeoVit material.

Keep Zeo basic add

This should be good

It's hard to say when to add nutrients, usually adding nutrients to poorer malnourished water quality, and corals are a good indicator.

When I first change the stone, will I replace all? Or just a part?

Always Just replace 90% of the material an keep ~ 10% of the old material in the reactor. After each exchange dose ZeoBac daily for 10 days.

What would you recommend a combination of T5 fluorescent lamps to 4x 39 W lighting? For good color and growth
