A little thought. Remember that Zeo Bac x10 days after each replacement of ZeoVit material. The part of the rock, the toothbrush is your good helper.

Another additional idea is that the Zeo Zym + Zeo BioMate mixture is probably good.

Default Zeo bak

Jacky,
Since Im doing the mixture of zeo bak/snow should I still add zeobak to reactor?
Thanks

Hello Kproescher, basically don't need to do this.

What we need is a blend of Bac and Snow, which is used to fully purify the water. Skimmer was temporarily turned off after administration for a while, after which the Skimmer was kept wet.

In addition, after administration, if possible, adjust the flow to the most suitable position to enhance circulation.
---
However, your idea is great, and the combination of Zeo Bac and ZeoVit materials forces more ways to reduce nutrients.

my current routine practice today is that after rotating/pulling the reactor, the main display system presents the aggregate, and then start adding other Zeo daily products.

In addition, the number of ZeoVit is quite important to the recommended traffic. ZeoVit materials have many features that work with Zeo's basic products to reduce nutrients.

If everything is done well, the Zeo base product architecture includes ZeoVit materials, which in a balanced way will make the water quality closer to ULNS. And there is a more robust maintenance of biology.

Sorry, this is not in the question you asked.

Thanks, I am wet skimming 2 hours after the mixture.
I have also ordered zeozyme to help but I won’t see that until next week.
Thanks for advice

Hello Kproescher, needless to say thank you.
BioMate - Reduces phosphate.
Zym - enzyme (decomposing enzyme).
These two products can handle functions that cannot be handled outside of Skimmer and activated carbon.

As for whether to do the mixture addition / with the dose, let us listen to G.Alexander's suggestion

If you already have BioMate, you can do this first.

BioMate - 12 drops every other day.

The nitrate is 2. This is currently not a serious problem, and if the various aspects are done well, including the ZeoVit material and the reactor flow per hour, it should always remain undetectable.

After you change some live rock, I noticed from your description that things are moving in the right direction, and you are doing very well. Keep my fingers crossed.

Basic information from FAQ, for your reference

ZEOZYM

Take 0,5-1L Aquawater in a cup, take your quantity Zeozym in the cup and mix it, wait 30min and mix again and dose it in the Tank, stop your skimmer for 1 or 2 hours. When you have problems in the Tank then you wait 8 hours after first mix before you use in the tank and you can take a quantity of Zeobak in the mix too, than you have stronger results.

Skimmer should be switched off in both cases, if mixed with Bac or not to keep the “substances” in the water column for a longer time, otherwise it will be skimmed out relative quick.

The mixture should ferment in a lidded container.

If needed both Bac and Snow should be added to the container after the 8-10hrs wait, at about the same time giving the mixture ~ 15 - 30 minutes to soak in.

For coral reefs w/o issues, forego the Bak, & mix ZZ in some tank water, allow to mix for 10 min. to 30 min then dose. Skimmer off is
recommended.

I just noticed that I must have inadvertently changed the setting on my 2 gyre setup and have been running on reduced flow. This may have had an effect on our cyano problem. I have readjusted and cleaned and we are back to normal flow.

I am very happy that you found this problem, and adjusted it, you are doing very well, it is definitely positive help.

How often can I use zeozym?
I am running out of coral snow (will be here by Thursday) so I’m worried about the cyano.
I removed as much as I could during today’s water change and the redirected f;ow seems to be helping but iS still present.
Thanks

If you have any kind of issues you can dose it daily for a week or so but it is complete different to CoralSnow. Usually if a system runs well dosing it once or twice per week works very well.

Working great, 90% of the cyano gone, just have to work on the low flow areas.
Thank you

Hello Kproescher, I am very happy to hear this good news. You did very well. If Cyano is almost improved, then you can also extend CoralSnow twice a week, which may be good.

Can you share what you have done and what have you done? Thank you
