Default Reactor Choice

Hi, I am not having much luck buying a Zeovit Reactor! Both Avast Vibe ones I was intending to buy are no longer available currently in the UK and the Korallin one will not fit in my sump area! Has anyone used the Cleartides one in the UK. Seems quite a bargain compared with the other options. I was also looking at the Vertex RX-Z but have read people were having problems with them jamming and O rings not sealing? I don't mind giving it a shake everyday but if it keeps jamming I can see the whole thing becoming a problem. Sometimes I am away for two or three days, will this be a problem with the Zeovit system? Thanks

I'm happy with my Skimz reactor... Bubble Magus makes a manual one. Either of those available in the UK?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Is the skimz reactor an auto cleaning type? Do you have a model number that would allow me to search for one. Many thanks

Skimz ZAR-127 or Skimz ZAR-157

Smaller or larger size.

Yes, they're automatic, based on an oversized DC pump and a controller. Configurable flow rate, can 'self wash' twice a day or once an hour, your preference. The self wash is quite effective at removing mulm. Flow rates seem to be about right. Easy to service... I'm happy with mine.

Thanks. Looks like the perfect solution, only issue is that I cannot find a single source in the UK that stocks Skimz reactors Anyone in the UK have alternatives?

I do not have experience with the Avast Reactors but as you mention in I found two sources in the UK:

Used: https://www.ultimatereef.net/threads....838370/page-2
New: https://marineaquatics.co.uk/shop/ze...e-zeo-reactor/

It does make a bit of noise... water falling down the outside container, kindof a light trickle sound. My sump is in a closet behind my tank, and I can't hear it, unless I go round and open the sump closet door.

My sump water depth level is 9"
How loud do you think the waterfall noise will be with the Zar 127 inside cabinet stand?

I have The same depth level as you. Iam using The old manual, dont instal The zar157 yet. When I will Be changing zeolit next week I will try it, or I will try it in a bucket of water. Some people told that is quiet and some that is lit bit waterfall.
