If I understand your problem, my tank is a Zeo system, N and P are not measured, in low malnutrition water quality, Kh recommends 6.5~7.5

I have used a CaCO2 reactor in the past, many use supplements which does not contain separate trace elements.

Thanks all, I have a calcium reactor set up but not doing much at the moment as coral are small and new, the calcium level is fine, I just want to raise kh by like 1/2 a dkh, I use Red Sea in my other tanks and have it to hand, so just wondered compatibility with kz

I am not familiar with the Red Sea products but as long as they do not contain additional trace elements it should be fine. To much trace elements in a nutrient poor system does darken the corals tissue.

I kept mine at 7-7.5 for a long time with slow growth. My nitrates eventually settled to about 7 ppm so i decided to up my dkh to 10 over a few weeks. Some corals took off with the extra elements in the water. If your nutrients are very low you need low dkh because the new growth can get burned tips. I dose aquaforest component 1,2,3 for main elements. Most zeovit users would recommend dkh around 7.

I took my zeoreactor offline. I just dose bak twice a week and zs3 twice daily. I feed pe mysis daily too. I couldn't get it lower than 5 for some reason do i decided to ditch the zeolites over a few weeks.

Thank you. So what is the reason you keep measuring N/P?

I don't usually measure n/p. Actually never measure po4. I sold my hanna checker because it couldn't measure low enough. Now i just don't check it. I check no3 every few month or so just to make sure its not too high. I seem to have better growth with a little higher no3. I've starved a few corals to death with too little nutrients in the past.

Thank you, great sharing. Just in my cognition PO4 < 0.03ppm is so good for coral colors. Of course everyone has different tastes. In addition, I feel that it is not so easy to achieve coral hunger. In my meager experience, Zeo's basic products also provide coral food, and the color enhancement of corals seems to bring health and reduce nutrition to corals. However, before the corals reached hunger, the phenomena and conditions I observed were that N and P approached 0 for a stable period of perhaps a long time, then the coral tissue became very light, with good PE, and polyps expansion, maybe In this way, my cognition

Every tank is different
I am not against you, my explanation and expression are not good, thank you very much for providing your experience, this is great.

No offense taken whatsoever. Every tank is different and i have achieved uln with full zeovit that did seem to promote good growth and color. Unfortunately, i suffered a few losses so i decided to let things go a bit. I do sacrifice some color but my pe and growth are undeniable. Might drop nutrients later when my corals are bigger. I start from frags.

As long as the coral is healthy/grown, then I believe it is great.
