You can choose some functional animals to start with, and some coral fragments to observe them

I do expect you have used dry rock for the system, therefore the cycle will take more time. Are the corals you have already added looking good ?

The tank was getting brown Algae. The corals are looking great and fish are also. But now the bottom of the tank and rocks and even the skimmer box have a lot more brown algae on them. What do you suggest at this time. Still on the same program as suggested G.Alexander. Only feeding the 2 clowns every third day.

I do expect that the brown film is just a part of the cycle, it should get weaker over the next 2 weeks or so.

Just dose ZeoStart and ZeoBac, optional SpongePower at the moment. Please post a update in the next couple of days, adding some snails might also be a good idea.

I did add some snails and some hermits. Everything is looking good. Corals are coloring up. All test stayed the same.

All the brown algae is almost gone it took about 1 week to clear up tank is looking great and all corals seem to be doing well and growing. We have these products Zeo food
Sponge Power
Coral Vitalizer
Zeo start
Zeo Bak
ZEO Carbon

Do we need to have any other products?
Looks like all is well. We started the system Jan. 3rd. and then 2 weeks ago started redosing the tank per G.Alexander. should i start dosing the tank next week and use the guide Zovit & Korallenzucht Guide?

1.25 salinty

Lets continue as planned, at this stage no additional products are necessary if all goes well, lets see what the K+ test result is showing when it arrive.

Continue dosing as follows for a total net water volume of 85 US gallons:

Sponge Power - 3 drops every other day
Coral Vitalizer not necessary at the moment
Zeo start 0.3 ml 2 x daily
Zeo Bak 3 drops 2 3 x weekly

If the first 4 weeks have passed replace 90% of the ZeoVit material. After each exchange dose ZeoBac daily for 10 days. Do not replace carbon and ZeoVit at the same day.

Ok will get that done on Monday. Unfortunate when I buy the zeo products I need to mail order them no one has them in my area. I like the product its keeping more in tune with the tack.
I have a question about the zeolite your said to change 90% if four weeks has went by,Will I need to change them every four weeks our is it six to eight weeks after this,And can you tell me why we do this just looking to be better educated myself about this? Thanks again for all the information and help.

My understanding is that after the first exchange, usually 6 to 7 weeks, with the poor nutrition stability can be exchanged for 8 weeks.

Because zeolite is a consumable, its function is mainly to reduce nutrients. Similar to activated carbon, it is also a consumable, always when it is exhausted.

I usually recommend to do the first exchange in a system which is converted to ZeoVit after 4 weeks, additional changes can be lengthen to 6 – 8 weeks if there are not nutrient issues for example. From my experience this does speed up the establishing process from the system but basically if you like to you can also wait longer for the first exchange, it does not really hurt but might “speed down” the process a little bit.
