Have you already cross check your KH test kit with a different, accurate test kit ?

Yes G. Alexander 2 different test kits and at the Lfs. Will continue to check it and see how it looks. The colors are really starting to come back. Growth is starting to happen. Polyp e is really good. Slow growing what do you suggest to make growing faster? Thanks again

To get a adequate growth rate many factors are involved:

Low nutrients
Stabile biology
Optimal lighting spectrum
Basic water parameters close to NSW

Lets see if growth does improve after you have slowly decreased the KH. Is PO4 and NO3 stabile low already ?

Ok thanks G.Alexander I have 0 for po4 and no3. Still working on the KH. Its at 9.4 today. What a difference its made just getting the kh up to were it is now. You can see things growing again. I also was wondering when I should put my cal reactor on with this system. Im trying to do everything as Zeo says?

You can start your CaCO2 reactor as soon as the KH does need to be supplemented to keep it stabile around 7 – 8. You might start the reactor now but do not add any CO2 until the KH has gone down furthermore. Once the KH is ~ 7 start to add some CO2 to keep it there. Make sure to measure the KH twice per day while adjusting your reactor to prevent quick changes.
