Yes, I do a 15% water change every 7 days and every time I test NO3 is always 50ppm.
Maybe I should try replacing 80% of the water like bugger suggested.
I haven't tried with another test kit yet but I will do this as soon as I can.
And yes I am using RO/DI and I replace the DI resin every 150 litres of water, I don't have a TDS meter yet though...

Just not sure if NO3 continues to leach, its good to clarify this.

To rule out any kind of issue with your test kit I would recommend to cross check with a different kit, maybe your LFS or a friend can help instead of buying a new test. Another ides would be doing a ICP test once.

Hello everyone, I have had the opportunity to cross check with another test kit and I got the same results. 50ppm nitrate and 0.01-0.03 phosphates.

I am thinking about trying the 80% water change and essentially "restarting" the 14 day cycle.
Would that be a good idea?

The 14-day cycle dose is suitable for use in the tank without animal corals

Skimmer barely pulls anything out of the water, which seems unusual

1. Gross water volume of your complete system (incl. sump etc.) - US gallons / UK gallons / liter
2. Net water volume (incl. sump etc.) - US gallons / UK gallons / liter
3. Are you using a CaCO2 reactor or other technique
4. Are you using a PO4 reactor (how long, how long ago, etc.)
5. Are you using Ozone
6. Are you using UV
7. What skimmer are you using (type, rated water volume)
8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 levels
9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels
10. What filtration method do you use (refugium, DSB, Miracle Mud, etc.)
11. Type of light (Watt, color temp, how old, etc.)
12. What corals do you keep
13. Tissue color (light or dark)
14. How long has the tank been running
15. Why do you want to use the ZEOvit system
16. Any supplemental dosing (type, amount, why, etc.)
17. Live rock (how much, how old, etc.)
18. Any present problems
19. Problem description (tissue loss tips, tissue loss base, diatom bloom, algae, etc.)
20. What test kit do you use (how old, recently switched, etc.)
21. Present dosing, amounts and intervals (ZEOvit, ZEObak, ZEOfood, ZEOstart, ZEOspur2, etc.)
22. Other water parameters and water stability (salinity, temp, etc.)
23. Which salt brand do you use

I do, I have a skunk cleaner shrimp and a green scolymia coral.
Do you think maybe 2 close 50% water changes (maybe 2-3 days apart) and 14 day cycle - level dose of zeobak might work?
Or a big 80% water change all at once?

What is the dose of Bac, Sponge Power, Start?
What is the current total amount of additive?
Has the tank experienced a 14-day cycle dose?

Hi Jacky, all the doses are written in my first post.
Also said in my first post, I did do a 14 day cycle dose.
Thanks

I read it, the dose seems to be very good

Let's try these first.

Keep lighting 8~10hr

When giving bac, Start, if you like, drop it in front of the ZeoVit reactor and pull the reactor twice a day.

Confirm that the diluted start dose ratio is correct, What kind of automatic adding equipment do you use? (The tiny dose of 0.1ml is very high precision)

What is the salinity level and what kind of salt mixture brand?

Tank basic message, can you fill it out?

Usually after 4 weeks of replacing the ZeoVit material for the first time, if the coral is healthy and the ZeoVit reactor should be switched to continuous flow, then the Zeo activated carbon tries to passively fly in a bag instead of being placed in the reactor, which may affect the flow.

The skimmer has almost nothing pulled out of the water, which looks unusual. What do you think is the cause, do you have a way to get it back to normal? Is it normal to stack the dense bubbles in the Skimmer reaction chamber?

My personal opinion is the fact that I have not many fish in the tank and low phosphates so the zeovit bacteria population is low because of low food so the skimmer has nothing to pull out of the water.
