Nice pictures OZ!

Personally I like the first picture most. Very good feeling of the atmosphere...

I will try to save some money for a Sigma 50mm 1,4 for my Alpha 200.
I think this lens will give me the freedom in landscape photography I have been looking for some time now...
At the moment I use a Sigma 70mm which is nice for coral shots but for landscapes or nature shots the focal length is a little bit too much.

Did you shoot the macros with the 18-105 zoom too?

Kind regards
Georg

Hi gerog,
Thanks for the kind words.
The first 3 landscape pics were held with 18-105.
For the macro shots I used sigma 150 2.8mm (Macro). One of the best lenses I had.

Hi Oz,

Again: Nice!

With a 150mm Macro it is maybe easier to get nice shots of animals in nature...
How far away were the insects from your camera? About 2 meters?
Not one of the cheapest lenses right?

Kind regards
Georg

I took the macro shots between 30 to 100cm away from the objects.
It's not one of the cheapest (define cheap)... but there are more expensive lenses.
