Default BARIO too high

Hello, I got the results of the triton test, the first one I do in this aquarium, and besides having the traces too low it tells me that the level of Ba is too high,195 痢/l.

It lists the following causes:

1. Phosphate iron-based (except ROWAphos or PhosBan): Non-use
2. Contaminated salts: Use NSW
3. Contaminated trace elements, in particular strontium: Use PIF and Iron
4. Dried fishfood: I use spirulina flakes and brine Shrimp Plus Flakes from Ocean Nutrition and Mellow Pellets of dki.

Can anyone have any idea where this BA comes from?

in my system I have seen some correlation between BA value and:
BB dosing
dry food and nori
some flex tubings that were leaching

I add BB 2ml 3 times a week. Does BA have the B-Balance?

I have the hose of the calcium reactor salinity quite yellowish, the truth is that if it will be disintegrating inside or are producing the reactor that stick inside. I've changed it just in case.

My comment was referring to overdose condition. Normal bb should not cause issues.

Well, I've already changed the hose from the calcium reactor outlet that was transparent silicone or plastic to a rigid one like the RO. I will continue with the same dosage of BB, I will make 3 water changes of 10-15% in 8 days and wait ...

Turning my head around , is it possible that FWS has barium as an element to kill them? I dose 2 ml 3 times a week.
I understood that B-balance what I had was Boro, level that according triton is quite good.

Do you do water changes?
Water changes bring back the balance.

Yes, every Sunday I change 40 liters of NSW. about 13-14%. and from time to time I make some change during the week. That's why I miss these BA levels.

I'm still searching the web for experiences on high BA levels and many coincidences in using GFO. I do not use any type of resins in the aquarium, but I use phosguard before the mixed resins in my osmosis equipment. I understand that they are aluminum based, but can they have barium?

I had a level of Barium over 400 on my ICP, it’s come down since but never seemed to bother much - would I even know it was that if it did? Who knows.

400?, Double what I have now. Let's see if it also goes down like you. We are going to make water changes because it is the only thing that happens to solve it.

Looking for there was this product that Microbe lift "Sili-out 2" that apart from removing silicates says it also eliminates Barium, Chromium, organic matter and to a lesser extent phosphate.

I have never been very fond of resins for the effect they produce in a rapid decline of phosphates, especially in the acros.

On 04/17/18 my phosphate level was 0.024 and that of silicates 168 according to triton lab and the truth is that I do not know if this would be a good solution to eliminate the level of Barium that detected this test, 195.

I have made 4 water changes in 15 days and now I do not know how those parameters will be.

Has anyone used these resins and seen their effects on these elements?

I'm sure the bario cames from the zeo stones.....
I tried to suspend any supplemet for a long time.....I did a big change water 50 %....the I continued only with water changes 15 % weekly....after 3 months the baruim and only the barium was high.....
i suppose that It can cames only from the zeo stones

If it were of the zeolites, everyone would have the BA high.

It is also true that I do not use Korallen-zuch zeolites, which I use is sold at a local store that is packaged with the name of the store, in a plastic bucket. I started to use them because their size is more ****genous and those of korallent-zuch brought many very small pieces that the only thing they did was to stay in the bottom of my automatic reactor.

Which makes me think that you may be right, and that these zeolites contain a high BA content.

Anyway, I'll wait another month to do another triton test and see the results. if I continue the same I will change to Korallent-such zeolites to see what happens.

I actually share you this opinion. I think zeolites have some BA. there was some links between how aggressive and how often the rocks are shacked to high BA by couple of users.
