Default Finally ready to start :)

Hi everyone been on here for a while trying to learn what zeo is all about and finally made the jump here are my tank details lets hope i can end up with that dream display we all look at an here


1. Gross water volume of your complete system (incl. sump etc.) - US gallons / UK gallons / liter 143.18 gallons
2. Net water volume (incl. sump etc.) - US gallons / UK gallons / liter 105.67 gallons
3. Are you using a CaCO2 reactor or other technique Doser - ATI essentials
4. Are you using a PO4 reactor (how long, how long ago, etc.) NO
5. Are you using Ozone NO
6. Are you using UV NO
7. What skimmer are you using (type, rated water volume) SKIMZ SV203 Oval 1200liters
8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 levels 0
9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels just started running need to test
10. What filtration method do you use (refugium, DSB, Miracle Mud, etc.) new zeovit set up so filter socks skimmer and zeo reactor
11. Type of light (Watt, color temp, how old, etc.) 2 radion xr 15 gen 3 1 radion xr30 gen 3 new
12. What corals do you keep sps -lps
13. Tissue color (light or dark) +
14. How long has the tank been running 1 Hour 
15. Why do you want to use the ZEOvit system better colour happy corals
16. Any supplemental dosing (type, amount, why, etc.) NO
17. Live rock (how much, how old, etc.) Dry rock
18. Any present problems No
19. Problem description (tissue loss tips, tissue loss base, diatom bloom, algae, etc.) Not yet
20. What test kit do you use (how old, recently switched, etc.) idip for phosphate&nitrate salifert for kh/mag/cal Milwaukee salinity meter
21. Present dosing, amounts and intervals (ZEOvit, ZEObak, ZEOfood, ZEOstart, ZEOspur2, etc.) Not yet
22. Other water parameters and water stability (salinity, temp, etc.) salinity 0.025 temp 25c
23. Which salt brand do you use Brightwell aquatics neo marine

Hi can anyone help with what I need to dose and much flow through the zeolite please and am I correct in uso one bag of zeolite �� think you for any help

Would recommend you to start as described in this step by step guide to cycle the system:

Please keep in mind that all quantity calculation for the dosage is done based on the net water volume of the complete system.

If you use this method for the cycle no animals should be in the system already.

Perfect, therefore use 1 liter oft he ZeoVit material.

Hi I am on day 3 of the 14 day cycle and no3 is at 20ppm on the idip test kit is this normal as read some people don’t see any no3 at all?

Just continue as planned, there is not much you can do at this stage.

well day 5 of the 14 day cycle here is how we are looking guys

nitrate 22
phosphate 0.71
kh 6.5
magnesium 1300
calcium 420

going to bring up the kh to 7.5

Looks like there is anything in the tank leaching PO4, my guess are the rocks but not much you can do at the moment. As you have used dry rocks instead of live rock the cycle will take much more time, just something you need to know so adding fish is something I would wait with.

Ok added po4 remover down to 16ppm now no3 is 0.02 should I still keep the phosphate remover on? Till says 0?

Lets keep it running to see if the level goes down furthermore. Than slowly begin to remove the absorber step by step while monitoring the PO4 level which should not increase.
