Default ALK Spike

I️ have a tank full of Acro that are doing very well. This evening I️ noticed consumption had increased so I️ turned my ALK doser on manually.

This was intended to only be 1-2 minutes but I️ accidentally left it on for 1 hour and the ALK spiked from 7.5 to 11.5

I️ did not have any makeup water so I️ changed approximately 8% of the water with RODI freshwater. This lowered ALK to 10 and Salinity from 1.026 to 1.024

I️ also raised MG-CA-K+ back in line after the freshwater change but Im not sure how to proceed from here. Should I️ just leave the doser off the next few days and slowly raise salinity back up or do I️ perform a large water change tomorrow. Sorry for the long post but hoping not to lose all stony corals.

You should have left it as it was to allow it to go down on its own. It would have been less harm.
Multiple rapid changes in water chemistry can cause trouble.

Leave it as it is and slowly raise salinity with weekly water changes.

I️ caught the spike before it had effected the water for long. The corals look okay this morning. Ill keep my dosers off and do a water change. Would TN happen quickly or would the corals respond to this slowly.

Usually it takes some time before the corals respond negative.

At what point should I️ be okay? Still no visible signs of stress to any corals after a water change today.

Difficult to say but if 3 weeks have passed and corals are still show no signs of TN there is a good chance that no further damage was done.
