Have you noticed any improvement in your corals since dosing it twice daily ?

You can use the automatic elements and the liquid supplement at the same time, main problem is just that a quick increase of K+ will cause problems with your corals (TN from the tips) so if might be a good idea to add the automatic elements and start dosing K-Balance at a low level, increasing the dosage step by step. I have personally never used the automatic elements so I do not have much experience with them.

I have not noticed any changes to my corals since dosing K-balance.

One question I could never figure out is how much are the K+ levels suppose to rise per dosing of K-balance? For instance, Red Sea's Colors B (similar to K-balance) provides the following directions:

"1ml will raise the potassium level of 100 liters (25 gal) by 1.75ppm"

I find that the KZ products does a poor job of informing us on how their supplements adjust your tank levels - this seems to be a mystery. It is a frustration I've had since starting ZEOvit. This leads me to consider using other additives in combination with ZEOvit. For instance, could I use Red Sea's products such as Colors B to increase my K+ levels. Red Sea's products are also cheaper than KZ products.

The K+ concentration of the products is not known or published by the manufacturer so I can not really help.

Have you already cross checked that your test kit is giving you correct reading ?

Never used the other products you have mention so I can not really help, maybe someone else has experience with the combination.

Just missed your question from yesterday, ZeoBac can be stored in the fridge.

Unfortunately I'm not motives enough to purchase a secondary test kit to measure my potassium levels. My thought is that K+ important enough to get exactly right. Would you disagree? I just wanted to make sure the K-balance I did buy is actually working.

I just got some of the KZ Amino Acis LPS and Pohls Xtra. What would you recommend as my start off dosing amount of these additives? Thanks,

If you like to and if you do not have any kind of algae / cyano issues you can try to dose them additional:

AminoAcidLPS: 2 x weekly like recommended on the bottles label
XTra: 2.5 ml every other day for 10 days, than 2 x weekly.

I would say that I have a minor cyano issue that comes and goes. A few blasts with my turkey baster usually solves the problem. I have recently noticed a little bit of nuisance algea on top of the sandbed that starts forming during the day but then is eradicated during the night by the clean up crew.

I would say that the amount of cyano is less since starting Zeovit and my nitrates have held steady at 2 ppm. Is it realistic to assume that the cyano will be completely eradicated on it's own. Should I consider other products to help this along such as Coral Snow?

Lets start dosing the two additional products like recommended in my last post for a couple of days to see if it does have any impact on the algae / cyanos.

Great, sounds like a plan. I've also stopped using ZeoFood. I'm reading that Sponge Power is now recommended over ZeoFood. Is this true?

Both are complete different products, I have personally just dosed ZeoFood to fine tune coral coloration from time to time while I have dosed SpongePower regular as it has a positive side effect to the biology.

When I dose the AA LPS and Xtra, I used a pre-program setting in my tank that shuts off the skimmer and return pump, but leaves by powerheads running for 30 minutes. The thought is the keep the additives circulating within my main tank without getting filtered out or sucked up by the skimmer. Do you find any issue with doing this with AA LPS and Xtra dosing?
