Default Do ZeoBak bacteria need light?

Hi all- my zeovit conversion and old tank remediation is going very well. I have done a deep clean of left and right halves of DT, the overflow compartment, and each compartment of the fuge all on separate days over the past month. I am almost two weeks into running Zeovit. Already most of my coral are looking “happier”- (other than the ones I cleaned a little too agressively.) I have removed all of my chaeto from the fuge and I put some of my live rock from the DT into the fuge.

My question is - do I need to keep running my Kessel light on the fuge at night? Do the ZeoBak bacteria need light? I don’t mind losing the coraline that’s on the live rock I moved down below. I would like to have less hair algae growing on my return pump and less coraline to scrape out of my protein skimmer if it’s ok to not light the refugium.

Thanks!

You do not need to have the light running on the fuge if it's only live rock in there
